Food of Gor:

Drinks

**NOTE**

*To check the warmth of a drink, the vessel is commonly held to the slaves cheek or other tender parts of her body.

*Most drinks can be garnished with a slice of fruit on the rim of the glass.

*Never assume a drink is to be sweetened, ask the Master/Mistress if they wish their drink sweetened

Ale

closer to a honey lager than an ale or beer; deep golden in color and brewed from grains and hops which were brought to Gor during the acquisition voyages

Serving Notes:

Storage: in casks in the cold storagePreparation:

Serving Vessel: Served in either drinking horns (hanging on pegs beside the shelves) or tankards (kept on the shelves).

Bazi Tea

An herbal beverage served hot and heavily sugared; traditionally drunk in 3 tiny cups, in rapid succession

Serving Notes: The intricate "Bazi tea ceremony" found online is not found in the books, but showing great care when serving is always pleasant to watch.Storage: Tea leaves kept wrapped in silk in a jar on the counter. Water kept hot over the fire in a kettle. Cups kept on the shelves.Preparation: Place the bowls of sugar, three small cups and a spoon on the tray. Place a measure of Bazi tea leaves into the teapot. Fill the teapot with hot water ladled from the kettle hanging over the fire. Put the teapot on the tray and return to the Free. This will allow time for the leaves to steep. Pour a small amount into one cup to check if it is ready to serve. Return the sample back to the pot, add the sugars into the cups, pouring the tea in, then offer each cup to the Free in successionServing Vessel: 3 small cups

Black wine

Black wine is Gor's equivalent of earth's coffee, only much, much stronger, more similar to Espresso

Serving Notes: "First slave" indicates that the black wine is to be served with sugars or cream. "Second slave" indicates that the black wine is to be served without sugars and cream.

If serving "first slave", fill a small kettle (found over the fireplace) with blackwyne ladled from the kettle hanging on a hook within the fireplace. Place on a tray with white and yellow sugars and bosk cream, either in powder form or liquid (if liquid, this will be kept in the cold room in small creamer type serving vessels) and the mug or cup. Approach the Free and ask how heavily sugared and creamed They prefer. Make it so by first adding the sugars, using one spoon for the yellow sugar, one for the white sugar, then using another for the cream. Pour the blackwyne into the vessel using yet another spoon to mix the drink. Finish the serve.

If serving "second slave", fill a small kettle (found over the fireplace) with blackwyne ladled from the kettle hanging on a hook within the fireplace. Place on a tray with the mug or cup. Approach the Free, pouring the blackwyne from the small kettle at Their feet. Finish the serve.

Storage: A kettle of blackwyne is always kept over the fire, made fresh daily. Preparation: Beans are kept in the storage cabinet in the servery. tiny "bags" (made from cloth, stitched together to make little pouches) are then filled with crushed beans, put into a pot of hot water to brew over the fire.Serving Vessel: Cups or mugs are kept on the shelves
